William was exceptionally good at his work and he generated a few enemies along the way. 	William was born in Stratford-upon-Avon on April 23, 1564. His parents, John and Mary Shakespeare lived on Henley Street, Stratford. His father was a whittawer, which is a maker, worker and seller of leather goods such as purses, belts, and gloves. His father was a well-known man in society, occupying such positions as a member of council, constable, chamberlain, alderman, and also a high bailiff. Shakespeare's father died in 1601 and his mother died in 1608. 	William was married at the age of 18 in 1582. His bride Anne was three months pregnant and eight years' older then William when they wed. His wife Anne was the daughter of Richard Hathaway. Richard was a substantial Warwickshire farmer. He had a spacious house and owned large amounts of farm land. Anne's father Richard called her Agnes which was interchangeably in the sixteenth century. The Hathaway farm house has now become known to the tourist industry as "Anne Hathaway's cottage." William and his wife Anne had three children. Susanna was born on May 26, 1583. The other two children, Judith and Hamnet were twins, born in 1585. Susanna married Doctor John Hall in 1607. Their home Hall's Croft, is today preserved as one of Shakespeare's properties. Judith Shakespeare married Thomas Quiney in 1616, at the age of 31. Hamnet Shakespeare died at the age of 11 in 1596. 	Shakespeare was unquestionably a famous man because of the distinguished plays he wrote throughout his live. In 1599 the Globe theatre was built and Shakespeare received 10% of their profits. This theatre burnt down while William Shakespeare was preforming one of his master pieces. Shakespeare's comedies of the late 90's relied very strongly on women's parts. The mention of the fair maidens outside the gate and the poet's observation that his love is not with the rest reminds me of Shakespeare's Sonnet CXXX. The poem is about the poets love of a woman that is not the most beautiful in comparison to most fantasy women; she is not perfect, but in his eyes she is all that he could possibly want. It seems that the content of this poem also reflects a devoted love to a maiden that may not be the fairest of them all, however she gives him all the delight he needs: "She alone gives me delight". The note at the end of the poem comments that 'the man praises his lover..., contrasted with beautiful maidens...'. This seems to support the insinuation that perhaps his maiden is not of the same entirety as the other dating maidens. The poet does not need anything other than the love he receives from this one maiden. It is possible that the lines that state she is not there outside the gate could be referring to something more literal. It could perhaps be literal in the sense that something has happened to her, which is why she is not out there. The note at the bottom of the poem clarifies that the gate in the poem refers to the eastern gate of the capital of Zheng. The significance of the eastern gate seems to be important to the meaning of the lines, however that importance is unclear to the uninformed reader. The two stanzas of the poem are repetitive yet with subtle differences. It seems common throughout many traditional Chinese poems that the first two lines of each stanza are very much alike and repetitive, while the following lines show more of a distinction. The first line reads "outside the eastern gate," while the first line of the second reads "outside the outer gate". The next line compares maidens to clouds, while the second line of the second stanza compares them to blooms. The poet uses nature in both stanzas to compare the fairness of the maidens. The fourth lines of each, say in different ways that his love is not where all the other maidens are.

When traders buy stock, they were buying from the company and a stake in the company. On October 24, 1929, (a.k.a. Black Thursday) the stock market fell 9% and five days later the market fell an unprecedented 17.3%. About 29 million shares of stock changed owners causing, at the time, the biggest stock market crash in the history of the United States. à à à à à In the decade before the crash, America was thriving and production was soaring. The GNP increased by 40% and average income grew 30% throughout the decade. There was an abnormally high level of investment and traders were overwhelmed with confidence. à à à à à When the stock market crashed on Black Thursday, traders were still confident because of President Hooverââ¬â¢s declaration that a recovery was imminent. à à à à à Despite the general optimism, the market crashed again causing the great depression. The effects were devastating. Over the next three years, the unemployment rate rose to 13.6 million people and GNP decreased 45 million dollars. à à à à à There are many causes to the 1929 stock market crash including speculation, WWI, Foreign investment, and a scandal that could have played a minor role. à à à à à The 1929 stock market was a bull market fueled by speculation. Speculation inflated stock prices beyond what they were worth because of the large amount of traders. Speculation is when traders think that a stock has much more value and potential then it really does. Traders would buy a stock that they think is thriving and when they realize that the company is losing money, they sell causing the market to decrease. (i.e. people investing in ebay and then selling after seeing ebayââ¬â¢s earnings.) à à à à à Many investors were not very experienced and they believed that whenever their stock went down, they felt selling was the best option which fueled the crash even further. à à à à à Because of the thriving market, many loaned money from banks and invested in the stock market. When it crashed, they could not pay back the loans and the banks lost money. The market misled the banks as they thought loaning traders money would be very lucrative. The Federal Reserve was a cause of the 1929 stock market crash because it essentially owned the government and fueled the speculation.

These also gave him hope in real life. But, movies were more detrimental to Toto. It made him blind to what reality is. He had less focus on life because of the movies. Movies became blurred between reality and fantasy. One example was when his mother told him his father died. It is expected when a loved one dies, people mourn. However, Toto even smiled when he saw a particular film poster. 2. The rusty anchors by the seashore symbolized Tot's views on life and love that were greatly influenced by films, and his loyalty and commitment to films.He was severely attached to his love or Elena, being and his village life, even when clearly there were a lot of other opportunities to pursue his passion. Alfred tried to explain that like the deep blue sea beyond there is a bigger world for Toto to explore, a world which will develop his passion and talents fully, and reach his potential. The unwinding yarn that was knitted by Salvatore mom symbolized Tot's life unwinding itself as he was bac k where he came from. It hinted that he came back to search himself for unsettled questions.He looked back to his life that was once a dream. Finally, fortunately he got answers and remembered where e came from. The demolition of Cinema Paradise symbolized a new beginning for the townspeople of Canonical, and new advancement in technology which was the television. Let symbolized the destruction of the old way of living of the Canonical community. Because this structure served as the heart of the tofu wherein people gathered and bonded with each other, the demolition symbolized the end of Alfalfa's life and the increased distance among the townspeople like Tot's life.But, even though the building was destroyed, the townspeople gathered one last time to mourn, heirs and relive the memories of Cinema Paradise. Their tradition may be lost, but it has opened new opportunities to build a new tradition. 3. Think his act of breaking up Salvatore and Elena was wrong though he was filled with good intentions. He thought this was the right thing to do for Toto to have a good life. With this act, it seemed like he truly cared for Tot's future, like a father would care for his children. But, he did not give Toto to freely decide for his destiny He forced him to choose only one option.Their relationship was not even hurting anyone. If he purely and truly loved Toto, he would have guided him better, let him learn, grow, decide for himself and with the risk of mistakes. Even though what he did was wrong, somehow viewers can sympathize to Alfalfa's good intentions and as to why he did this: he lived a life of regret because he did not have the good life he aspired for. Yet, I think he was a possessive selfish father that caused more harm than good to Toto. 4. I think the scene where teary-eyed Salvatore was watching the montage of kissing scenes gave us a look at his relationship with Alfred and Elena.Movies were an essential part of his life. The kissing scenes in movies were censored so it led him to be fascinated and curious. When he finally watched the kissing scenes, it made him wistful, happy, and teary-eyed because he felt Alfalfa's love for Toto, and his overwhelming praise to Tot's achievements. Let served as a gift, a prize and a reward to Toto. Also, the scene interpreted the ephemeral passionate and glorious past and unfortunate future with Elena. Elena was his one and only true love. It stirred up his emotions and his passionate memories of youth and love with Elena.
